Looking down toward Kitahanebashi Gate, from the very top of the old tower castle ruins. (The castle was built in 1638, and lasted all of about 17 years before being destroyed in a fire.)

The pointy building in the background is the roof of the Nippon Budokan, which plays host to lots of rock concerts and martial arts tournaments.

Nippon Budokan

Le Nippon Budokan est un budokan du centre-ville de Tokyo, capitale du Japon. Il accueille aussi bien des événements sportifs que des concerts.

Il a été construit pour accueillir les compétitions de judo lors des Jeux Olympiques de Tokyo en 1964, et les Beatles ont été le premier groupe de rock à s'y produire, du 30 juin au 2 juillet 1966. Depuis lors, de nombreux groupes de rock ont enregistré et publié des albums Live at the Budokan.
